GUITAR
Musician and singer born in St-Côme, a small village of singers and musicians of Lanaudière, nicknamed “the national capital of the song to answer”. This is where he has his first contact with traditional music. He studied jazz guitar at CÉGEP St-Laurent and then became interested in American style tenor banjo. He begins to roll his hump as a songwriter in Quebec bars, restaurants and bistros. In 2005, he founded the Quebec traditional music group La Giroflée, with which he recorded in 2008 the album J’ai dans la mémoire. With this album, he toured in Quebec at festivals, first part of other artists (Patrick Norman, Fred Pellerin) and in Europe with the Celtic spring caravan tour in 2010. He participated in two creations of Cirque Alfonse La Brunante (2006) and Timber (2011). In 2011, he recorded the song Les Bacheleurs for Simon Rodrigue’s documentary Men of Wood and Lumberjacks. He has been teaching guitar for five years now to the future generation of guitarists in the Châteauguay region.
