Percussionist, caller, stepdancer and researcher, Jean-François Berthiaume has a rich and varied background, and is an artist in high demand. After more than twenty years in the service of traditional dance, he is recognized as one of the most original callers. Jean-François is the percussionist for the group of traditional music: Réveillons! and has been part of the women band of traditional song Galant tu perds ton temps. He participated in the recording of several albums (Entourloupe, Langues fourchues, Stéphane Landry, Domino…) and continues to exercise its role as a teacher / choreographer in several schools, dance troupes and dance workshop. The famous «swing par la pine, pis balance par la ganse» is now recognized throughout the dance floors in Quebec, Canada and USA! His passion, his instinct, his energy and his charm make him a true artisan of the tradition.
