Five days of training in violin, guitar, mandolin and piano! Join!

The registration period is launched for the 12th edition of the Camp Violon Trad Québec which will take place from July 21 to 26, 2019 at the Plein Air Lanaudia in Saint-Come.

The co-founders Stéphanie Lépine, André Brunet and Eric Beaudry will welcome in the cohort of teachers artists of experience and reputation such as the fiddlers Louis-Simon Lemieux, David Boulanger and Dâvi Simard, guitarist Andre Gagné  and the Pianist Rachel Aucoin. A novelty this year, a class of mandolin that will be led by none other than Michel Bordeleau. Violon Trad Quebec will have the chance to welcome also for a class of Master, Mrs. Danielle Martineau, artist and mediator of the living heritage, specialist of the songs and the traditional dances of French America. In addition, will join as porteur de tradition, Daniel Lemieux.

They will share their rich musical background for five days of training where traditional music is vigorous and the heritage is alive and well.

Come and enhance your technique while broadening your knowledge and ease with the violin, guitar, mandolin and piano, and enjoy a musical sharing experience and encounters between traditional Quebec music enthusiasts. Concerts, jams, dance evenings, mid-Carême, singing supper and more are on the agenda as well as a wide range of outdoor activities such as rabaska, canoe, kayak, tyrolean  for a unique and memorable holiday!

The camp is accessible to young people and families through its scholarship, which provides financial assistance to 18 years of age and less and a reduced rate of 35% for non-musician escorts. In addition, by registering before April 30th, save $50! The registration and fellowship period continues until June 1.

Since its biginning the Camp Violon has brought together more than 1500 musicians from here and abroad and has offered almost $35 000 in scholarshup to nearly 160 young musiciens! It’s a date!
