Once again this year, it is to the sound of the fiddle, guitar, piano, traditionnal dance, songs and lots of joy that we will celebrate the 17th edition of Camp de Violon Traditionnel Québécois de Lanaudière! To date, more than 1,800 musicians from 6 to 78 from around the world have taken part in this unparalleled musical adventure.
Take part in this unique event with co-founders André Brunet, Stéphanie Lépine and Éric Beaudry. Renowned artists will join them: Steeve Poirier, David Boulanger, Michel Bordeleau, Dâvi Simard, Martine Billette, Colin Savoie-Levac, Charles Labrèche and Maxence Croteau. In addition to mastering your knowledge and technique on the fiddle, guitar and piano, you will be able to dance throughout the week with the caller Jean-François Berthiaume, a great collaborator of Camp VTQ since its beginnings in 2008.
This year, our hosts as Porteur de Tradition are Susie Lemay and Denis Pépin who will come present their musical journey. The latter one is a great virtuoso, accordionist and pianist, having played alongside Jean Carignan, Philippe Bruneau, Gabriel Labbé and more.
These talented artists will take you on a journey throughout the music, dance and song onto the paths of traditional Quebec music. 5 days devoted to the sharing of musical knowledge in various activities such as jam sessions, concerts, mid-Lent Québec’s celebration, a singing supper and a dance evening ignited by the passion and love of our musical heritage. All on an enchanting site in the heart of the Lanaudière forest in the “Quebec capital of traditional song. »
Offered by the VTQ Scholarship, children aged 18 and under will be able to register at the special price of $795. In addition, they will have the chance to receive a scholarship to cover part of their registration fees. The VTQ Scholarship has distributed more than $40,000 to nearly 190 young people in seventeen years.
